Day 39…..My Jams

Working out seems to be so much easier when you are jamming out to your favorite tunes.  It helps if your favorite tunes are very upbeat as well.  Here is a list of my top 10 tunes that I work out to.  Don’t judge me 🙂

Day 21……Brown Rice

Today in my bowl, I had all of my favorite veggies, and brown rice.  Genghis Grill offers noodles, pasta, tortillas, as well as fried, steamed, and brown rice.  Today, we look at the benefits of choosing the brown rice.  I have read several different places that brown rice has 4 times the fiber of white rice.  I also learned that brown rice has a lower glycemic index, which means that it doesn’t cause the blood glucose level to rise as rapidly.  A Harvard research study showed that eating 2 servings of brown rice a week reduced the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.  I also read several articles that stated that brown rice can help to prevent weight gain, and also lower cholesterol.  There are definitely benefits to eating the brown rice.  Go Genghis Grill.Image
